Description
The Teenage Engineering POM-400 Pocket Operator Modular is New Delivered to all areas of the UK using our roadie delivery service.
The Pocket Operator series goes modular! With the POM-400, Teenage Engineering have packed a fully analogue modular synth rig into relatively small, home-build design with battery-power and a built-in speaker so you can use it anywhere.
Modular Design
The POM-400 is a flat-pack modular synth that you put together yourself. It comes with discrete modules that house all the sound-making parts like oscillators, LFOs, envelopes, etc. as well as the mixer, sequencer, and built-in speaker. These modules are mounted to a powder-coated aluminium chassis for a sturdy feel that'll stand up to continued use. While it may be a build-at-home kit, it's still a serious piece of gear.
Sounds
In keeping with the Pocket Operator design philosophy, Teenage Engineering have packed a lot of sonic potential in this relatively small unit. The POM-400 features 3 oscillators, 2 envelopes, 2 VCAs, and an LFO. You also get a filter, noise generator, randomiser, mixer, a built-in speaker, power pack, and a 1-16 step sequencer. There's a lot to play with and explore here and you'll soon find that the POM-400 is no novelty, its a full instrument capable of standing on its own.
