Ableton Live Integration
It is built to work straight out of the box with Ableton Live, which is arguably one of the leading pieces of electronic-music making software. A multitude of sounds are available from the outset right at your fingertips; you’ll be creating impressive sonics and performing tracks in absolutely no time. The 64 RGB pads provide you with a view of what’s going on in your Ableton session at any one point (matching your clips and scenes). This makes viewing your clips the easiest it’s ever been.
Improved Control
This integration has also enhanced your overall control. Dedicated mute, solo and stop controls can all be accessed without the need for a mouse. You can now also launch your scenes and clips quickly with just a single button press. Bright pads have been implemented to make viewing your session and launching sounds extremely straightforward, even in a dark environment. Ease of use and speed are the key considerations here!
Software Selection
Bundled together with the Launchpad Mini is a whole host of wide-ranging software and plug-ins. Pioneering companies such as Softube, Klevgrand and many more have provided you with a selection of their products – granting you the tools needed to increase the variety and quality of your sounds.
Logic Pro X 10.5 Live Loops
This new update lets you trigger cells within Logic’s workflow. These cells can contain either loops, one-shots, MIDI patterns, automation data etc. Each can be freely moved around or recorded live via Logic’s tracks function. When used with your Launchpad fully integrated, your production experience within Logic becomes far more hands-on.
Here’s What Novation say About the Launchpad & Logic Pro 10.6 Update:
In Logic Pro 10.6, Launchpad X and Launchpad Mini [MK3] devices no longer need to be rotated to properly display the Live Loops grid, as was required in v10.5. However, there are orientation options in Logic’s settings that allow you to choose vertical or rotated arrangement, to suit your preference. This flexibility provides a much more cohesive experience, allowing you to seamlessly jump between different modes.
