The TK Audio TK-lizer 2 is a stereo Baxandall EQ with a built-in M/S circuit. With its broad frequency shaping capabilities, the Tk-lizer 2 is designed for use as a mastering EQ. With comprehensive EQ controls and the ability to process mid and side channels separately, the TK-lizer 2 offers a great deal power over your EQ while keeping it sounding smooth and natural.
Baxandall-Style EQ
The TK-lizer 2 is a Baxandall-style EQ. As opposed to boosting or cutting very specific frequencies, a Baxandall EQ has a smoother frequency curve which is great for broad EQ shaping of the overall sound. This is what makes it ideal for mastering as you can adjust the final EQ while keeping the frequency curve sounding natural. The TK-lizer 2 features 3 Baxandall bands each with low Q (broad bandwidth), high and low bands that are switchable between shelving and peak, and a choice of 12 frequencies on the high pass filter. All the controls are stepped which makes it easier to recall exact settings.
M/S Circuit
For even more control, the TK-lizer 2 features a built-in M/S circuit which lets you process mid and side channels separately. This is a valuable feature for stereo EQs as it lets you adjust the stereo width (sense of “space”) on your track.
