Thesys consists of a 32-step MIDI sequencer split into five sub-sequencers that control pitch, velocity, gate time and modulation. You can choose to draw your pattern, use the randomiser or import MIDI from another device to create patterns. Thesys has an internal synthesizer so you can generate pitch straight away. Set the root note and ensure key harmony with the scales. Program riffs and arpeggios and then assign them to patterns in the top three windows. Use the performance sequence to control octave, pitch bend, note roll and sequence randomisation.
