Description
The Soma Enigma Metal Controlled Synthesizer is an experimental instrument for musicians sound artists and explorers of unconventional electronic sound. Built around a highly sensitive sensing field Enigma transforms metallic objects into a method of synthesis and performance. Coins screws gears tools and other conductive metal objects can be placed on or above the surface with their position shape and arrangement directly influencing the resulting sound. Designed around discovery rather than traditional workflows Enigma encourages experimentation through eight touch sensors that switch between different operating states. Even the smallest movement can alter the sonic result creating detailed interactions that reward careful exploration. Despite its experimental nature sound behaviour remains repeatable when objects and sensor states remain unchanged. MIDI note control MIDI clock support and CV clock synchronisation allow integration with external gear while stereo outputs and a headphone connection make it easy to use in both studio and performance environments.
