Description

The Alesis SR16 drum machine is one of the biggest selling drum machines ever. Some of the sounds are instantly recognisable, thanks to their extensive use on hit songs from around the globe. The SR16 by Alesis has been a staple creative musical tool since its launch. Since the Winter NAMM show at the start of 2008, the SR16 has been joined by its bigger brother: the Alesis SR18.

Here's what Alesis say about the SR16:

The Drum Machine That Started A Music Revolution

A true studio icon. As one of the most popular drum machines ever made, the SR-16™ has been used by everyone from songwriters to live performers to remix engineers as their drum machine of choice.

Fusing 233 professional sounds, on-board digital effects for added realism, stock & user customisable patterns, complete MIDI support, performance driven connectivity options, Alesis’ exclusive Dynamic Articulation and a compact, studio-friendly footprint, SR-16 can be heard on countless records, praised for its natural realistic sound and true versatility. Taking your production to the next level of professionalism just got a whole lot easier with SR-16 – change up your workflow and redefine your expectations of a professional drum machine, your production demands it.

In-Demand Sound

SR-16 features a pro selection of 233 realistic, natural drum sounds, offered both in dry form and sampled with our incomparable digital reverbs.

Realistic Performances Guaranteed

Our exclusive Dynamic Articulation™ feature enables SR-16’s drum sound to change its tonal content as it’s played harder for truly realistic performances.

Patterns for Days!

The SR-16 features 50 preset patterns captured by top studio drummers, not just programmed and quantized. Plus, there’s enough built-in rhythmic variations (with A, B and two Fill sections) for composing complete arrangements.

The Personal Touch

Looking for more customisation? SR-16 doesn’t disappoint! You can create and save your own customised patterns and songs with space for 200 totally unique user patterns.

Tactile Control, Effortless Integration

The SR-16 also provides complete MIDI implementation, a footswitch input, flexible programming and editing features and velocity-sensitive pad buttons.

Easy-To-Use

It’s so easy to use that you’ll be up-and-running and composing new music in minutes. Whether you need a songwriting partner or an accompanist for live performance, turn to the all-time world standard in drum machines: the SR-16.
