Description
The Arturia MicroBrute UFO Limited Edition is made for synth enthusiasts mobile producers and modular users after a compact analog tool with deep sound-shaping possibilities. It brings full front-panel control a powerful oscillator and an iconic filter together in a travel-sized design. With no menus and no presets youre free to build your sounds from scratch every time. This limited edition version of the critically acclaimed MicroBrute features a futuristic aesthetic inspired by MicroBrutes out-of-this-world sound. Its single voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) offers Saw Square and Triangle waves that can be blended and pushed further using Ultrasaw Metalizer and Overtone controls. These let you thicken distort or weight your waveforms as you build your sound. A Steiner-Parker filter offers three selectable modes to sculpt your tone while the Brute Factor adds real analog-style feedback saturation. On top of that a 64-step sequencer with pattern memory allows for standalone sequencing. And with a patchable CV/Gate matrix the MicroBrute UFO connects directly to Eurorack and other analog gear. Pure analog signal path for classic sound The MicroBrute UFO sticks to a fully analogue signal path. This means no digital oscillators or internal conversion just raw voltage-controlled sound. The benefit is a tone that reacts organically with subtle variations and harmonic depth that digital systems often miss. It delivers a warm rich voice with real presence especially for basslines leads or experimental textures. With no preset storage or menus every sound is shaped manually using dedicated knobs and sliders. This makes it ideal for beginners learning the basics of synthesis and for performers who want complete control without diving through settings. You build every patch yourself so you stay fully engaged with the instrument. Powerful oscillator with unique shaping tools The oscillator section offers Saw Square and Triangle waves. Instead of choosing just one you can mix all three together using individual level controls. That alone gives you more flexibility than many single-oscillator synths. But MicroBrute takes it further with three extra shaping features. Ultrasaw adds two detuned copies of the saw wave giving you a thicker chorus-like sound. Metalizer alters the triangle wave by folding it back on itself producing sharp metallic textures. Overtone generates an extra harmonic which can be a sub-octave or a fifth adding body and weight to your patch. These controls are interactive so blending different waveforms and shapes results in complex evolving tones. The more you push the levels the more they begin to saturate adding grit and character naturally. Legendary filter and Brute Factor distortion The Steiner-Parker multimode filter is a highlight of the MicroBrute. It offers low-pass high-pass and band-pass options allowing you to carve your sound with precision. The filter is resonant and can self-oscillate when driven which opens up more experimental or percussive sound design options. This kind of filter is known for its smooth response and flexibility especially when paired with modulation sources. For even more character the Brute Factor dial feeds part of the signal back into the synth’s audio path. This introduces controlled feedback and saturation which you can use to add anything from subtle grit to all-out distortion. Combined with the filter Brute Factor gives your patches a unique edge; great for hard basslines industrial textures or lo-fi sounds. Sequencer modulation and modular compatibility The MicroBrute includes a 64-step sequencer that lets you store and recall multiple patterns without needing a DAW or external controller. You can program notes directly on the synth making it ideal for sketching ideas or building live sets. The sequencer also works well with the modulation matrix as it lets you create evolving sequences by routing modulation to various parameters. Modulation on the MicroBrute is handled via a small patch bay. You can use this to route the internal LFO or envelope generator to pitch filter cutoff or waveform parameters like Metalizer. It also accepts external CV sources and can send pitch and gate information to other gear making it fully compatible with modular rigs. This flexibility turns the MicroBrute into a control hub or sound module in a larger analog setup.
