The Radar by Behringer is a Contact and Pickup Microphone Module for Eurorack. Pulling double duty, the main function is as a physical input for motion controls. Using your finger you can scratch and tap your way to musical ideas, even pick up vibrations of loudspeakers and other acoustic waves surrounding your modular set up, helping you generate new ideas that might be hard to stumble across on a sequencer or keyboard. It’s second function allows you can use it as a high-quality amp to help process the output of a microphone though your modular equipment. Set up a microphone, patch up the Radar and bounce a ping pong ball in a pint glass and see what audio wonderment gets generated, it’s time to think outside of the box.
