Description
The GP series represents the very top of Casio's digital piano range. For this series, Casio teamed up with renowned piano manufacturer C. Bechstein to authentically recreate the sound and playing experience of an acoustic piano, right down to the feel of the keys. The GP-310 improves on previous models with updated piano samples, improved pedal simulator, and the new Grand Acoustic 2 speaker-system for a crisp, realistic sound.
Sounds
The Casio Grand Hybrid pianos can emulate three European grand piano sounds – Berlin Grand, Vienna Grand, and Hamburg Grand – which cover a wide range of playing styles and genres. The GP-310 features a hall simulator which models how your playing would sound in famous concert halls. Using the hall simulator will add a sense of ambience with changes in the dynamics of the sound when you switch between halls. To give your playing an even grander feel the Concert Play feature provides a virtual symphony orchestra to accompany you with a library of classical pieces to play with.
All these sounds can be enjoyed through the new Grand Acoustic 2 speaker system on the GP-310 for an even more true-to-life sound. Designed in collaboration with C. Bechstein, the six-speaker system gives you the dynamic range and powerful response of an acoustic piano for a more realistic sound. And if you need to practice silently then there's Headphone Mode which optimises the tone for use with headphones.
Hammer Action Keys
Part of the pleasure of playing an acoustic piano is the experience of the keys as you play, feeling the hammers move with the keys under your fingers. The GP-310 recreates this feeling using the "Natural Grand Hammer Action". Using the same high-quality materials as C. Bechstein, the GP-310 has full-length wooden keys and moving hammers which provides one of the most authentic key actions around. The pedals have also been improved for greater damper control and more realistic recreation of an acoustic piano mechanism.
