Description

The Behringer BCR32 is a versatile MIDI controller and hardware sequencer designed to give musicians, producers and performers hands-on control over their MIDI equipment and music production software. At its heart is the highly acclaimed Zaquencer from ZAQ Audio, providing a powerful 32-step, 4-track sequencer for creating mono, polyphonic, drum and note sequences. With 32 freely assignable encoders, 20 programmable buttons and four virtual groups, the BCR32 offers extensive control over MIDI parameters, while its learn mode makes setup quick and straightforward. Two independent MIDI controls per track provide additional creative options, including program change, aftertouch, pitch bend and CC control. Hardware connectivity includes MIDI input and two MIDI outputs, four CV/Gate and Sync connections, and two assignable footswitch inputs. The BCR32 can also operate as a USB to MIDI interface, making it a flexible hub for your studio setup. USB bus power, class-compliant operation and iPad compatibility make it equally suited to portable production and live performance.Key Features 32 Step Sequencer – Create detailed mono, polyphonic, drum and note sequences across four independent tracks, with storage for up to 192 patterns. Behringer

Behringer, founded by Uli Behringer in Germany, is famous for making affordable versions of classic instruments. They’re known for synth and drum machine clones like the RD-8 (808 style) and TD-3 (303 style), as well as the DeepMind synths. By lowering prices, Behringer have democratised access to legendary sounds once out of reach. They also produce mixers, interfaces and studio essentials used worldwide. Whatever your opinion, Behringer gear has enabled countless producers to get started without breaking the bank.

Sequencers

Discover hardware sequencers for programming notes, chords, rhythms and control data across electronic instruments. Dedicated sequencers often control several devices while keeping hands-on timing and arrangement separate from a computer. Compare track count, pattern length, real-time and step recording, probability or generative tools, song modes, and MIDI, USB, CV or gate connections before choosing one.

Tags

MIDI

Products that send, receive or process Musical Instrument Digital Interface data. MIDI carries performance and control information rather than audio, allowing keyboards, synthesisers, sequencers, computers and other equipment to play and synchronise with one another.

Polyphonic

Instruments capable of playing multiple notes or voices at the same time. Polyphony supports chords, layered pads and overlapping notes, although the available voice count and how voices are allocated vary between instruments.

Sequencer

Products with dedicated note, rhythm, MIDI or control-voltage sequencing capabilities. A sequencer records or generates musical events and sends them to internal sounds or connected instruments, often providing step programming, pattern chaining and performance controls.
