Get ready for MKII

The Analog Four has been taken back into the workshop and taken apart to create an entirely new MKII Analog Four. The analog circuitry has been reworked and the overdrive enhanced with more attitude than its predecessor.

A lovely touch is that the MKII synth features a new OLED screen, so that you can easily delve into the Four's digital parameters. To help with this, Elektron have also added extra buttons and even some CV inputs for improved external control.

Here's what Elektron say about the Analog Four MKII:

Analog Bliss

Organic, warm, chaotic, exact, and everything in between. Moulding your own unique analog sounds is simple. Program them with precision, or feel free to design as you go. The sonic range is so vast entire tracks can be created from scratch.

From Sounds to Songs

Four synth tracks and an intuitive step sequencer enable you to easily create and layer melodies. Then play back your composition and immediately reshape it. Change notes, alter sounds, add effects. Something beautifully unique will emerge every single time.

Modular Control

Not only a splendid synthesizer, the Analog Four can also make other gear sing. Thanks to the CV/Gate and DIN sync outputs, external analog gear can be controlled in great detail. Make any modular or vintage synthesizer rig come truly alive.

Elektron

Elektron designs hardware instruments built around sequencing, sampling and sound manipulation. The SynthForSale catalogue covers Digitakt drum computers and samplers, Octatrack, Syntakt, Rytm, Analog Four, Digitone and Tonverk. Elektron workflows commonly combine parameter-rich sound engines with pattern-based sequencing, conditional or evolving events and performance controls. The product families are not interchangeable: some focus on analogue synthesis, some on FM or digital synthesis, and others on sampling. Compare track count, storage, inputs, outputs and the exact sequencer architecture for the intended setup.

Synthesizers

Explore hardware synthesisers for sound design, performance and music production. This collection includes analogue, digital, hybrid, FM and wavetable instruments in keyboard, desktop and modular formats. Compare the synthesis method, polyphony, keybed, sequencer, effects and MIDI or CV connectivity to find an instrument that fits your studio, live setup and preferred way of creating sounds.

Tags

Analog

Products using analogue sound-generation or signal-processing circuitry, also commonly written as analog. Analogue instruments shape continuously varying electrical signals and are often chosen for direct controls, natural variation and a character that responds organically to performance and modulation.

Digital

Products using digital sound generation, processing or control. Digital instruments can offer precise recall, extensive polyphony, sampling and complex synthesis methods, often combining a wide tonal range with compact hardware and flexible modulation.

Semi-Modular

Synthesisers with a pre-wired signal path that work immediately but can also be repatched for modular-style sound design. Patch points allow the normal routing to be changed, extended or connected to compatible modular and CV-equipped instruments.

Sequencer

Products with dedicated note, rhythm, MIDI or control-voltage sequencing capabilities. A sequencer records or generates musical events and sends them to internal sounds or connected instruments, often providing step programming, pattern chaining and performance controls.

Synth

Products centred on electronic sound generation and synthesis. This tag brings together keyboard, desktop, modular and performance instruments that create or substantially shape their own sounds rather than serving only as controllers.
