Each drum voice includes a full set of hands-on controls such as decay pitch sub level and click level so you can quickly shape and refine your sound. The Hexdrums design combines the power of Hexinverters mutant circuits with the flexiblity of an an analog drum sequencer. HexDrums is great for sound deigners live performers and studio work; providing immediate control of powerful analog drums. You get eight fully analog voices plus sample based crash and ride so building characterful kits is quick and practical. Two independent bass drums cover sub weight and punch while the Machine voice expands into metallic hits or drones for unique textures. Each voice has its own output for separate processing and all parts can be positioned in stereo before meeting a master compressor and drive for mix ready weight. The sequencer encourages fast ideas with tap entry per step microtiming ratchets and probability and there is room for 16 banks of 16 patterns with song mode for sets. Back up patterns via USB B integrate with MIDI in and out and lock to external clocks with ease. Because every analog drum has its own output you can route the kit to your mixer or interface for individual treatment while keeping cymbals on the main bus. Stereo glue and grit on the master Before the main outputs all voices can be panned in stereo helping you place elements for width and space. Then a hi fidelity soft knee stereo compressor adds punch with threshold ratio blend and selectable response times so you can parallel compress without extra gear. A master drive stage gives saturation from subtle warmth to snarling bite and a wet dry blend lets you keep transient definition intact. With headphones on the front and balanced stereo out on the rear the master section doubles as a compact mix hub that is ready for rehearsal rigs and recording. Program up to 64 steps per pattern in step or tap modes then refine with accents per step microtiming ratchets and per step probability for evolving parts.
