Description
The Model 264t is a versatile module featuring four independent sample and hold circuits, along with a dedicated logic circuit for seamless polyphonic patch implementation. Designed for both precision and creative control, it is an essential addition to any modular synthesiser setup.
Each of the four sample and hold circuits offers two operating modes: sample and track. In sample mode, the module captures and holds an input voltage at each received pulse. In track mode, the input voltage is continuously tracked during a pulse and held once the pulse ends. With the option to operate channels independently or in unison via the common switch, the 264t provides flexibility for various synthesis applications.
The integrated polyphonic adaptor enables effortless four voice polyphony, including fine tuning and frequency modulation control. Internally routed to a quad channel quantiser, the 264t supports ART equipped oscillators such as the 259t Complex Oscillator. A 12 stage switch allows key selection, while the scale selector provides minor, chromatic, and major scale options.
Key Features:
- Four independent sample and hold circuits:
Each channel can operate separately or together, capturing and holding control voltages for diverse modulation applications. - Polyphonic adaptor for four voice synthesis:
Implements advanced polyphonic patching with fine tuning and frequency modulation capabilities, optimised for seamless multi voice control. - Quad channel quantiser with ART outputs:
Internally routed quantiser provides scale selection and precision tuning for ART compatible oscillators, ensuring harmonic accuracy.
Sample and Hold Functionality:
The 264t provides two distinct operating modes for its sample and hold circuits. In sample mode, the module captures the input voltage at each pulse and maintains it until the next pulse arrives. In track mode, the input voltage is continuously updated while a pulse is active, freezing at the final value when the pulse ends. This flexibility allows for dynamic voltage processing, perfect for generating stepped sequences or holding transient control signals.
Polyphonic Adaptor and Logic Circuit:
Designed for polyphonic patching, the built in logic circuit streamlines the implementation of four voice polyphony. By managing voice assignment and tuning, the adaptor ensures smooth transitions between notes. Fine tuning and FM modulation capabilities allow for precise pitch control, while LED indicators provide visual feedback on voice allocation and activity.
Integrated Quad Channel Quantiser:
The Model 264t includes an internal quad channel quantiser, automatically routing its outputs to ART compatible oscillators. A 12 stage key selector and scale selection knob offer direct control over harmonic structure, making it easy to create musical and structured voltage sequences. This integration enhances tuning accuracy and workflow efficiency in modular synthesis.
