The Scales is a Dual Channel Note Quantiser and Sequencer.
How Does it Work?
Scales is based on an 8hp dual-channel note quantiser and step sequencer architecture. It works by taking an input voltage, quantises it to notes in any user-outlined scale and then delivers that quantised voltage to your output. When there, it can be harnessed as a melodic pitch generation for your oscillators etc.
You'll have a huge amount of control over your intervals and pitches. As well as this, you'll be able to morph LFO's into arpeggiators, unspecified voltages into harmonic counterpoint, plus a whole lot more.
Additional Extras
With two separate outputs, you can build shifted harmonic intervals (within a specified scale) using just one pitch input. The shift input can even be utilised to swap between scales on-the-fly, alter the root of a scale pattern, or separate Scales into two distinct quantisers.
There's even a 128-step SH-101 influenced sequencer. This can store up to 35 programmable patterns.
