Nektar are a US manufacturer with a reputation for making some of the most affordable MIDI controllers on the market. With the SE keyboards, they’ve outdone themselves once again. Compact design meets a comfy 25-key range and their trademark DAW integration for the ultimate portable production tool.
25-note keybed
With compact controllers, the feel/action of the keybed is often one of the first components to take a hit. With the SE25, Nektar set out to prevent this from happening. They developed a brand-new velocity-sensitive keybed. The aim was to provide a familiar, firm playability without adding to the bulk of the unit. Add three velocity curves to the mix, and you’ve got a truly expressive piece of kit!
Intuitive DAW integration
The small control panel to the left of the keyboard provides you with a number of performance controls, including octave shift, sustain, pitch bend and more. You can easily tweak your performance in real-time with minimal hassle.
Nektar are known for their hassle-free DAW integration. The SE25 is no exception, offering simple access to your DAW transport so you can get hands-on with your project. It’s compatible with most major DAWs, including Logic Pro X, Cubase, Bitwig and many more!
