Sound Quality
The Clavinova CLP-725 faithfully reproduces the dynamic range and diverse tone variation of the powerful, brilliant Yamaha CFX, and the Bösendorfer Imperial with its rich tones and natural-feeling resonance. Virtual Resonance Modelling (VRM) intricately simulates the full sympathetic sounds created by the overlapping resonance of the strings and body of a grand piano. The exquisite piano sound makes every song sound great.
Grand Expression Modelling
The interaction and interplay of the hammers, dampers, and strings inside a grand piano respond to the subtlest nuances of the pianist’s touch, creating a limitless range of tonal expression. Touch refers to the pianist’s control, not only of intensity (softness/loudness) in playing and releasing the keys, but also of the speed and depth with which the keys are pressed. The Grand Expression Modelling introduced in the CLP-700 series translates the widely varied input from the pianist’s fingers into the same limitless tonal variation of a grand piano.
This makes it possible to vary the output by playing the keys to different depths and with different speeds, even when using techniques such as trills or legato or emphasising the melody over the accompaniment.
Silhouette and Visual Enhancement
The uniform silhouette of the front end of all models from the CLP-725 to the CLP-795GP is a common feature of the entire CLP series. The power indicator has been moved from the front panel to the on/off switch, positioned to the right of the keyboard. The music rest has been changed on the CLP-725 and now has the “uniform Clavinova shape”. The design of the control panel in the CLP-725 has also been visually adapted to the line-up. The CLP-725 is available in four colour variations.
