The Roland Aerophone Pro builds on the innovative design and performance of the series' predecessors. It opens up even more creative avenues for wind instruments, propelling them firmly into the modern age. After extensive research and development involving a group of pro wind players, Roland have implemented new features and components to improve the playability, sound and more.

Smart Build

The Aerophone Pro has been produced using high-quality components across the board. This has resulted in a slim easy-to-hold exterior that lets you access controls far more quickly. Because of the design, you'll also be able to see the clear OLED screen from any kind of angle.

This smart build improves the playing experience too. Bite and breath sensors are more responsive; controls can be configured to suit you; a MIDI input has been incorporated for footswitches; fingering operates in the same way as an acoustic saxophone etc.

Superior Sounds

You'll be able to harness over 300 acoustic and electronic sounds, encompassing vintage, world and modern instruments. You'll pretty much have a full woodwind and brass section packed into one highly portable piece of equipment.

Each is augmented by Roland's SuperNATURAL tech which highlights the finest details of your playing – displaying any dynamics, accents and more.

There's also the ZEN-Core Synthesis System which turns the Aerophone Pro into a powerful and versatile wind synth. This is the same sound engine that makes the JUPITER-X and FANTOM tick. It's bolstered by a suite of custom presets produced by leading sound designers.

Edit & Tweak

Your sounds can be edited easily too using the built-in editing tools, or the external editor app for your phone. While there, you'll be able to manage and recall specific tones to suit different musical scenarios.

Flexible Connectivity

Thanks to a series of varied connectivity options, you'll always be ready for the studio or the stage. Throw in battery-powered functionality, an integrated speaker, Bluetooth MIDI and a headphone jack, and there's even more options available for portable practice too!

About Roland

We have new and used Roland musical equipment available on our website for fast direct delivery from sellers across the UK & Europe.

Roland synthesizers are renowned for their pioneering role in shaping electronic music, known for their innovative designs and iconic sounds. Since the introduction of the Roland SH-1000 in 1973, the company has consistently pushed boundaries in synthesizer technology. Legendary models like the Jupiter-8, Juno-60, and TB-303 helped define the sound of genres such as synth-pop, house, and techno. The TB-303, in particular, became the backbone of acid house, with its distinctive squelchy basslines. Roland’s early synthesizers were known for their warm analogue tones and intuitive interfaces, which have cemented them as favourites among musicians and producers worldwide.

In more recent years, Roland has continued its legacy with the introduction of digital and hybrid synthesizers, such as the versatile JD-XA and the System-8, which incorporates the company’s powerful ACB (Analog Circuit Behavior) technology. This innovation allows modern Roland synths to faithfully recreate the sound and behaviour of their vintage counterparts while offering new features and capabilities. The company’s synthesisers are highly respected for their quality, reliability, and versatility, making them a staple in studios and live performances alike. Whether producing lush pads, punchy basses, or evolving soundscapes, Roland synths have been at the forefront of electronic music for decades.
