Description
The Sequential Take 5 Desktop Module is ideal for producers performers and synth enthusiasts who need serious analog sound in a compact form. It features the same architecture as the Take 5 keyboard including two analog voltage-controlled oscillators per voice and a four-pole low-pass filter based on the classic Prophet-5 Rev 4. These elements give it a warm rich sound that?s easy to shape using the hands-on panel. Each oscillator supports continuously variable waveforms sub-octaves and hard sync while onboard FM routing lets you add more edge and movement. The front panel gives you direct control over envelopes LFOs filters and modulation routes so you can build or tweak sounds quickly. Two five-stage envelopes and two LFOs feed into a 19-slot modulation matrix allowing deep routing possibilities. The effects section includes a reverb with tone shaping and a multi-effects unit covering delay chorus flanger distortion and more. You also get a built-in overdrive for analog-style saturation. With 512 preset slots a 64-step sequencer multiple arpeggiator modes and full MIDI and USB connectivity the Take 5 Desktop fits naturally into any studio or live setup where sound quality and flexibility are essential. New OS Update – Poly Chain Arpeggiator patterns and more! The new Take 5 OS Update introduces a significant set of improvements that make this compact synth even more inspiring to use. The biggest addition is Poly Chain a powerful feature that lets players link two Take 5 units to create a fully integrated 10 voice instrument. This greatly expands creative potential and also gives musicians a strong incentive to add a second keyboard or incorporate the desktop version into their setup. The update also adds 10 new arpeggiator patterns including creative modes such as Spiral and Leapfrog which bring fresh movement and musical variation to any performance. A new timing option called Whiplash adjusts note values in real time based on how many keys are being held giving players a more expressive and dynamic feel during live sessions. Sound designers also gain access to violet noise opening the door to new textures for pads effects and atmospheric layers. Classic Sequential tone in a space-saving format The Take 5 Desktop Module keeps the core elements of the Take 5 keyboard using true analog voltage-controlled oscillators and a four-pole low-pass filter modelled after the Prophet-5 Rev 4. It provides five voices of polyphony with each voice shaped by two oscillators and a sub-octave generator for rich low-end presence. Oscillator waveforms are continuously variable letting you create subtle shifts or dramatic sweeps. You can also apply hard sync and front-panel frequency modulation for more aggressive textures. Its size makes it easy to place in cramped spaces while its sound gives you the unmistakable tone of a classic Sequential synth in a format that fits modern production environments. Hands-on in-depth controls This module is built for speed and creativity. The front panel uses a knob-per-function layout that reduces menu-diving and keeps controls visible. Two five-stage envelopes and two LFOs allow for detailed modulation control and each can be freely assigned using a flexible 19-slot modulation matrix. Parameters respond to both velocity and aftertouch allowing for expressive real-time play even when controlled externally. You can assign audio-rate sources and destinations for advanced modulation effects. This setup allows for spontaneous patch creation while maintaining depth for advanced users. Modulation paths are easy to build and quick to adjust without disrupting your workflow. Built-in effects and sequencing tools The Take 5 includes two onboard effects sections. One is a dedicated reverb with damping and tone shaping while the other is a multi-effects slot that offers delay chorus flanger tape simulation phasing and more. An overdrive circuit adds edge and saturation without needing external pedals or racks. The 64-step polyphonic sequencer includes ties and rests letting you program full parts directly on the unit. An onboard arpeggiator gives additional performance options with multiple modes and clock sync for tight integration into larger rigs. These tools give you studio-quality sound processing and compositional features in one device reducing the need for extra equipment in your setup. Compact size with full connectivity The Take 5 synthesizer module measures just 53.3cm wide and weighs only 3.08kg making it highly portable without sacrificing build quality. It includes stereo audio outputs headphone jack and full MIDI I/O with USB for seamless communication with software and hardware instruments. Inputs for sustain and expression pedals expand real-time control while the preset switch allows for immediate panel control in live situations.>/p> With 256 user patches and 256 factory presets you have access to 512 sounds all easily organised into banks and quick-access slots. It is fully powered through a standard IEC cable and operates globally with automatic voltage switching. This makes it easy to take on tour or move between studio locations without needing adapters or special cables.
