Description
The SOMA Laboratory Messeiver is for artists sound explorers and listeners drawn to raw unpredictable radio worlds. Messeiver is a shortwave receiver unlike conventional radios. Instead of tuning into a single station it captures a broad slice of the radio spectrum all at once allowing many stations to bleed together naturally. What you hear is shaped by constantly changing global conditions such as weather solar activity atmospheric layers and cosmic radiation. The result is an ever-shifting mix of voices music noise and textures that exists only in that moment and place. Built by hand with a luxury vintage aesthetic Messeiver uses custom coils NOS germanium diodes a wide-range old-school speaker brass inlays and a neon bulb. It is both an instrument and an observation device designed for ambient listening deep experimentation and long-term exploration.
