Description

The TRIAX8 is a groundbreaking modular polyphonic oscillator designed to bring the richness of true analogue sound into a modern creative workflow. Featuring sixteen genuine triangle core oscillators, it delivers full note polyphony while retaining the tactile immediacy and experimentation of modular synthesis. Each function is controlled by its own dedicated knob, encouraging hands-on exploration without menu diving. With natural analogue drift, dynamic environmental compensation, and a remarkable tonal breadth ranging from vintage warmth to bold, contemporary textures, the TRIAX8 offers expressive character in every voice. Its advanced Through Zero Linear FM maintains tuning stability even under heavy modulation, bringing classic FM theory into a fully analogue polyphonic domain. Combined with Polytip patching, cross oscillator synchronisation and ART note control, this instrument extends far beyond the limitations of conventional fixed architecture synthesisers. Whether used for drones, evolving pads, or intricate modulated timbres, the TRIAX8 provides an inspiring, living sound engine built for musicians, sound designers and modular enthusiasts seeking a deep and expressive polyphonic tool.

Key Features

  • Sixteen Analogue Triangle Core Oscillators:
Offers authentic analogue warmth and natural drift, creating richly detailed polyphonic textures with a lively and organic character.
  • Through Zero Linear FM:
Ensures stable tuning at high modulation depths, enabling expressive frequency modulation with clarity and full musical control.
  • Polytip Patching and ART Control:
Provides seamless polyphonic routing and responsive note management, supporting refined performance techniques including scalable pitch bend and MPE compatibility.

Polyphonic Analogue Expression:

The TRIAX8 elevates modular performance by combining sixteen independent analogue oscillators with a workflow that encourages real-time musical expression. Its per-voice modulation and individual outputs allow complex arrangements, layered harmonics and intricate motion across all notes. The instrument’s mix output also supports dense unison tones and expansive drones, making it ideal for both performance and studio environments. Whether triggered conventionally or via advanced control sources, the TRIAX8 retains the authentic nuance of analogue circuitry throughout every patch.

Advanced Modulation and FM Architecture:

With a state-of-the-art Through Zero Linear FM bus, the TRIAX8 introduces an analogue implementation capable of maintaining precise tuning even under intense modulation. This opens the door to shimmering harmonic movement, dynamic cross modulation and powerful experimental timbres. Cross oscillator synchronisation, available in multiple configurations, enhances this further by enabling classic hard and soft sync techniques across the polyphonic field. These tools together make the TRIAX8 a versatile sound sculpting platform that rewards detailed patching.

Integration and Environmental Stability:

The built-in learning system constantly monitors environmental factors and adapts each oscillator’s behaviour for optimal stability. This ensures reliable tuning while preserving the subtle movement characteristic of analogue circuits. With Polytip connectivity, external modulation inputs, ART note control and individual gate and voice outputs, the TRIAX8 integrates seamlessly into Eurorack setups. It offers a refined, modern approach to polyphonic modular synthesis without sacrificing the charm and unpredictability of true analogue hardware.

Explore hardware synthesisers for sound design, performance and music production. This collection includes analogue, digital, hybrid, FM and wavetable instruments in keyboard, desktop and modular formats. Compare the synthesis method, polyphony, keybed, sequencer, effects and MIDI or CV connectivity to find an instrument that fits your studio, live setup and preferred way of creating sounds.

Tags

Analog

Products using analogue sound-generation or signal-processing circuitry, also commonly written as analog. Analogue instruments shape continuously varying electrical signals and are often chosen for direct controls, natural variation and a character that responds organically to performance and modulation.

Eurorack

Products designed for the Eurorack modular synthesiser format, including sound sources, filters, modulation, sequencing, effects and utilities. Check module width and power requirements against the available space and capacity of your case.

Polyphonic

Instruments capable of playing multiple notes or voices at the same time. Polyphony supports chords, layered pads and overlapping notes, although the available voice count and how voices are allocated vary between instruments.

Semi-Modular

Synthesisers with a pre-wired signal path that work immediately but can also be repatched for modular-style sound design. Patch points allow the normal routing to be changed, extended or connected to compatible modular and CV-equipped instruments.

Synth

Products centred on electronic sound generation and synthesis. This tag brings together keyboard, desktop, modular and performance instruments that create or substantially shape their own sounds rather than serving only as controllers.
