The EarthQuaker Devices Wave Transformer Transfiguration is a complex oscillator primed with 7 audio outputs. Vintage-voiced and fully analogue, this voltage-controlled oscillator produces 8octaves of accurate pitch tracking so that you can fully control and hone your tone. The 7 simultaneous wave outputs include a unique Complex output that varies between normal waveforms and an intricate harmonic structure of the original waveform.
The Sub Octave panel control determines whether the sub-harmonics are derived from one octave down, two octaves down, or are completely muted. The Wave Transformer will vary a simple waveform to allow you to create and morph your tone into a unique, dynamic, and harmonically intelligent sonic experience quite literally.
Using the module’s Transform controls, you can go the extra mile and take full advantage of the many complex and otherworldly sonic mutations from the Complex output via the analogue asymmetrical multi-differential audio transmutation circuit. When combining this circuit with Hard Sync, Soft Sync, Linear FM and Exponential FM, you can discover endless possibilities of these permutations. And if you want to experiment even more with immense oscillation effects, then you can plug into the Shape Insert that enables you to transform external oscillation and modular-level audio sources!
