Description

The EarthQuaker Devices Wave Transformer Transfiguration is a complex oscillator primed with 7 audio outputs. Vintage-voiced and fully analogue, this voltage-controlled oscillator produces 8octaves of accurate pitch tracking so that you can fully control and hone your tone. The 7 simultaneous wave outputs include a unique Complex output that varies between normal waveforms and an intricate harmonic structure of the original waveform.

The Sub Octave panel control determines whether the sub-harmonics are derived from one octave down, two octaves down, or are completely muted. The Wave Transformer will vary a simple waveform to allow you to create and morph your tone into a unique, dynamic, and harmonically intelligent sonic experience quite literally.

Using the module’s Transform controls, you can go the extra mile and take full advantage of the many complex and otherworldly sonic mutations from the Complex output via the analogue asymmetrical multi-differential audio transmutation circuit. When combining this circuit with Hard Sync, Soft Sync, Linear FM and Exponential FM, you can discover endless possibilities of these permutations. And if you want to experiment even more with immense oscillation effects, then you can plug into the Shape Insert that enables you to transform external oscillation and modular-level audio sources!

Key Features

  • 8 Octaves of Pitch Tracking – Starting from A-1, you can uncover more than just the full range of your instrument, with varied and complex sub-harmonics.
  • Immense Oscillating Powers – The 7 simultaneous waveform outputs enable you to create an incredible range of intricate and complex harmonic structures.
  • Fully–Analogue – Utilising a 100& analogue circuit, you will experience authentic and naturally oscillating effects.

Brand

EarthQuaker Devices

EarthQuaker Devices is known for experimental effects and also produces Eurorack hardware for synthesis and signal processing. The SynthForSale catalogue includes the Wave Transformer Transfiguration Oscillator, which brings oscillator and waveshaping duties into a modular format. Check module width, power, waveform controls, CV inputs, output levels and the supporting filters or VCAs required to turn it into a playable voice. The brand is a good fit for modular players who value unusual timbre and interaction, while remembering that an oscillator module is not a complete effects pedal.

Category

Modular & Eurorack

Browse Eurorack modules, semi-modular instruments and complete modular systems for building a flexible synthesis setup. The collection includes oscillators, filters, envelopes, modulation sources, sequencers, effects, utilities, cases and power. Check module width, power requirements and signal compatibility when planning a rack, or start with a complete system that is ready to patch and expand.

Analog

Products using analogue sound-generation or signal-processing circuitry, also commonly written as analog. Analogue instruments shape continuously varying electrical signals and are often chosen for direct controls, natural variation and a character that responds organically to performance and modulation.

Eurorack

Products designed for the Eurorack modular synthesiser format, including sound sources, filters, modulation, sequencing, effects and utilities. Check module width and power requirements against the available space and capacity of your case.
