The keys have a scale guide function which illuminates all the recommended notes for a particular chosen scale or easy scale function which means you can play musically using any of the keys. So you dont need a background in music theory to play in various keys and modes.
If you dont like playing on the fly, or you’re a bit musically stumped and need a change of pace, the Nanokey studio can also step record for a fresh creative tool.

Studio Controls
The Nanokey studio could not be called an all in one studio tool with just keys alone. This midi controller also features 8 highly sensitive trigger pads so that you can program your drums with natural rhythm and groove, or you can assign chords to them that perfectly relate to the scale set to the keys. You also get 8 assignable knobs for controlling all your DAW effects and synth controls and a KAOSS touch pad which offers some of the creative functionality found on the Korg Kaossilator or Kaoss Pad
