Brazilian rosewood (Dalbergia nigra) and Indian rosewood (Dalbergia latifolia) are among the most well-known types, with Brazilian rosewood being especially rare and highly valued due to its restricted availability and conservation protections. Rosewood typically features a dark reddish-brown to purplish hue, often accompanied by darker streaks, giving it a unique and luxurious appearance.
