A modern stage piano with vintage qualities. The Yamaha YC73 digital stage piano with drawbars combines authentic performance with high-quality organ and piano modelling for the stage. Yamaha’s first keyboard with drawbars, the YC73 meticulously emulates the unique circuitry and playing feel of popular drawbar controls. In comparison to the YC61, the 73 and 88 models feature a natural wood hammer-action keybed, providing a fluid playing experience. The YC73 also places a range of other authentic sounds, including concert grand and electric pianos at the fingertips of the performer. To achieve this, the YC73 relies on a newly designed sound engine utilising Virtual Circuitry Modelling technology. This expertly captures and recreates the behaviour of transformers and resistors in tonewheel and drawbar circuits. The authenticity doesn’t stop there, with a newly designed, 73-key waterfall keyboard providing the perfect platform to create expressive organ performances. With authentic drawbar mechanics and ultimate portability, the YC73 is the stage instrument for demanding organ and keyboard players.
