The Cre8audio East Beast Desktop Modular Synthesizer was created in collaboration with Pittsburgh Modular, designed to offer a compact east-coast style modular synthesizer with a unique topology and cutting-edge filter. Breathing new life into east-coast style synthesis; the East Beast includes a powerful, fifth-generation oscillator with a range of waveforms to choose and combine. It also features the innovative PGH filter, moving on from the classic transistor ladder filter found in most classic synths. The PGH filter is a state variable filter with zero dead spots, providing a perpetual ‘sweet spot’. Once the oscillator kicks in, you can shape your sound with the four-stage envelope generator and LFO. The custom envelope circuit features a snappy and percussive-style attack; perfect for expressive performances. Get creative with your modulation using any of the 18 patch points available. Each patch point is also Eurorack compatible, meaning you can patch the East Beast into your favourite modules. Not only that, but the East Beast can be removed from its housing and installed within a Eurorack system for added flexibility. A wide range of performance tools are on offer including the built-in controller buttons which can be used to play notes (as a one-octave keyboard), create sequences (using the 32-step sequencer), as a tap tempo clock source and much more. A clock-synced arpeggiator is also included as well as a dual-range LFO with triangle wave output.
